Becky - Smooth Collie della Via Francigena

Becky è nata il 31 gennaio 2005 nell'Allevamento del Castelgavone e quando siamo andati a prenderla, attraverso il finestrino dell'auto, oltre ad ammirare il meraviglioso mare che si infrange sulle coste della Liguria sognavo il nostro futuro insieme.
Quando la tenni per la prima volta in braccio non sapevo cosa ci avrebbe aspettato, ma fu chiaro da subito che la sua socievolezza e la sua fiducia in se stessa sarebbero state le sue migliori qualità, e avrei potuto sempre contarci!
A convincermi di questo non fu solo il fatto che appena messo per la prima volta il guinzaglio Becky, con la coda alta, trotterellava allegra accanto a me e a mio marito, come se lo avessimo sempre fatto, ma è stato decisivo vedere come nella nostra crescita insieme riuscivamo a capirci senza parlare, affrontando situazioni o ambienti diversi. Si percepiva che non c'era niente che la potesse spaventare o che non fosse capace di affrontare. Con Becky ho mosso i miei primi passi sia nelle esposizioni, sia nell' agility e in ogni situazione era sempre lei quella a darmi una mano.
E' a tutt'oggi questa sua capacità di collaborare che mi rende molto orgogliosa di lei. Becky per me è come una rosa, bellissima, ma con qualche spina ! Sicuramente dove ho trovato più difficoltà è stato accettare il lato del suo carattere poco propenso alle effusioni; lei è la classica lady inglese che si mantiene composta, facendo capire subito ciò che vuole senza tanti giri di parole e senza grandi feste.
Sicuramente è lo smooth con cui ho fatto esperienza, come dice mio marito, è la mia nave scuola ! Non sono mancati i successi, ma nemmeno gli errori da parte mia, ma non ho perso il coraggio di rimediare, e anche se fra noi si sente un po di rigidità, cerco di renderla felice, anche se so che le sue preferenze vanno a mio marito.
